CC is a product of our breeding program and is one of our best females to date. She truly represents our goals for breeding. CC was sired by AFC Ten Bear's Road Trip(Tick). Tick is an excellent looking chocolate Labrador with one of the best pedigrees of any chocolate male in the USA. In his 3 generation pedigree only one dog is not an AFC,FC, or CFC and that dog had a HRCH title. All are dogs that passed on their great traits. Excellent dark chocolate(pure) dog with OFA "good" hips, Clear for CNM and EIC, and "normal" eye CERF. CC's dam is SCL's Sugar Magnolia and she has a lot of Maggie in her. Maggie is a litter mate of FC-AFC-CFC-NCAFC-NDD Upon the Wings of an Answered Prayer(Ammo) who was the 2009 High Point Derby dog that shattered the all time points record by 40%. Ammo now holds 3 of the all time field trial records. CC is OFA Good(hips) and elbows "normal". She is DNA tested clear for CNM, EIC, PRA, and the dilute gene which causes silver and charcoal Labs. Her eyes are CAER rated normal with zero issues. She is pure chocolate carrying only chocolate color genes(bb EE). 55 pounds of happy enthusiasm, she is a high flier on water entries and fast in the field but calm and quiet in the house. Dark chocolate, almost black, she is our perfect chocolate female. CC was initially trained/handled to her AKC Senior Hunter(SH) title by Bud McConnaughey/Red Label Kennels until he retired due to family health issues and then Chris Brinegar/Triple B Retrievers finished her AKC Master Hunter(MH) title. Mike Lettau/K&L Kennels is handled her in APLA(American Pointing Labrador Association) tests where she passed every test earning her earning her Certified Pointing Retriever(CPR), Master Pointing Retriever(MPR), and GrandMaster(GMPR) titles. She is the complete package excelling in the upland bird field with great field coverage and rock solid natural pointing, on water, and in the house. A pure joy to train and to be around.
