  
 
This is a memorial to our two time champion Alspaw's Jumping
Jake Flash who passed away in his bed after a brief battle with cancer
at the age of 11 1/2 years. Like most Labradors Jake was stoic to
the end, playing with a litter of puppies 12 hours before taking the
journey to the happy hunting grounds.He was laid to rest beside the
pond where he did his water work, with a full complement of game birds,
with his nose into the prevailing wind. These photos dipict Jake's
journey through life from a 10 month puppy in the first photo, his
first competition win, to his enthusiasm for the water at 10 1/2 years.
Jake lives on in his son Swift Creek's JJ Flash(Jumping Jake Flash
junior) who is the absolute reincarnation of Jake but with a fox red
coat. Jake's bloodline will always be in our kennel. |
