Liza
was a 100% British / Irish Lab with an impressive pedigree that
includes 9 international field trial champions with 5 of those being
Irish National Field Trial Champions.
There
are over 40 dogs with field trial titles in her 5 generation background
with 12 in the past three generations.
She
had great conformation and was a hunting / retrieving machine. Liza’s
hips are OFA Good / elbows Normal and her DNA is registered with
the AKC.
She
had a great nose and marking ability and was an absolute natural
hunter. She found the birds that others have failed on. Liza finished
#2 on a tiebreaker to our own JJ for the high point amateur
dog
in the NBDCA in 2004. She finished as the #1 qualifier for the
2004 NBDCA National Tournament in the Hunter Flushing Division.
Liza
has competed in 12 events with 5 firsts, 2 seconds, and 2 third
place finishes, completing her championship in 9 events in
her first
year on the circuit. Liza started 2005 off with a bang by winning
the Hunter Flushing division title at the Bear Lake Championships
Feb. 19,20 and its automatic bid to the 2005 NBDCA National Championships
where she earned third place. Liza won the prestigous Lee
Neary
/ St. Judes Championships Oct. 22, 2006 to win her first "major"
and followed that up by placing fourth in the 2006 NBDCA National
Championships held in March 2007. She pointed nearly all of her
birds with a staunch natural point that required no training. Liza
may have been the best European pointing Labrador in the United
States. We were so impressed with Liza that we flew to Ireland
in 2007 and picked up a puppy from the kennel that produced her
maternal
bloodline. Liza passed away at 12 years of age leaving us with
many great memories. Her bloodline lives on in our kennel in Kiera
,Glenbriar
Roisin, and Glenbriar Primrose. We were fortunate to find Liza
and her maternal bloodline will always be in our program. |
